Cottesloe GC’s Foundation Officially Launches
Trustees of the Cottesloe Golf Club Foundation invited members to the launch event held Sunday, 7 April on a warm autumn evening.
With more than 70 in attendance, Foundation Chairman, Stuart Barrymore provided members insight into the value a Foundation can add to the membership experience.
Stuart introduced the Foundation’s Trustees:

- Murray Westphal
- George Cordin
- Clare Pope
Trustee, Murray Westphal then addressed the group introducing the Foundation concept, why it is of benefit to the long term health of the members and club and how Members can participate in Foundation activities. A Foundation is a sound structure to build a sustainable future fund for projects such as course and building works, improving assets, junior development, preserving club history and community initiatives outside of regular operating activity or funding.
An explanation of how the Foundation will operate noting its independence from Board activity was presented to the group.
